How it all began...
We are the Seidels from the beautiful region of Saxony. We spent many years travelling along many rivers as touring cyclists. You experience a wide variety of accommodations: from warm hospitality to guesthouses where you don't want to go back. And so a dream developed: we could use our retirement years to be hosts ourselves, not only - but preferably - for cyclists. So some time ago we bought a house right on the Elbe cycle path. Of course there was a lot more to renovate than it seemed at first glance, but little by little we are making progress. Even if everything is far from perfect, we are convinced that you can feel completely at home in the two finished guest rooms and start the new day refreshed after a delicious breakfast.

Welcome
Stehla is a small village right on the Elbe cycle path. A beautiful spot on a wide bend in the Elbe. In spring the nightingale sings at night, the frogs croak in the neighbors' pond and sometimes the stork lands right on the roof of the house. It's a wonderful place to relax. Children are welcome to stay in the parents' room! There is a baby bed for the very little ones and for an older child we can simply put a mattress on the floor. However, the room will then be quite cramped. Please speak to us! The house will have space for 7 guests, but we are not finished renovating yet. If you don't mind the sight of a few corners of the building site, the breakfast room that still needs to be renovated or scaffolding in front of the half-finished exterior plaster, you are very welcome here. Construction noise and dust pollution are of course avoided when guests are staying.

Stehla is located on the right bank of the Elbe in the north of Saxony, directly on the border with Brandenburg.
It is not the typical tourist magnet, but there are places worth seeing nearby. A little further down the Elbe is the historic town of Torgau. Belgern, Mühlberg and Riesa are also worth a trip. For swimming, there are quarry ponds and the beautiful Kiebitzsee in Falkenberg, but the Wonnemar with spa and mineral thermal baths and a water park with several slides in Bad Liebenwerda is not far away.
What makes Stehla stand out: the village atmosphere, peace and quiet and a wide sky.
